A Bygone Era: Mine Shafts

Quilt # 82

Done!!!

This is my #8  in the UFO Challenge 2012 for March . A challenge issued by Judy Laquidara at Patchwork Times. Click the orange 2012 UFO Challenge button at right for more info.

A Bygone Era: Mine Shafts

This is what it looked liked at the time.  Notice there was an extra column of flying geese on the left hand side?

pre-challenge
After having it sandwiched and started quilting, I had a good look at it to try and figure out what I did not like about it.

I folded the border over that column of geese and liked it a lot better.  So I remove the flying geese and replaced the border before doing anymore quilting.  Much better, don't you think?
